Absence Excuses

Parents/guardians may submit student absence excuses using one of the following methods:
• Deliver a written excuse to the school office.
• Email the excuse to jhsattendance@jcsboe.org.

To ensure your student's attendance record is updated accurately, all absence excuses must include:
• Student's full name (In the subject line)
• Date(s) of the absence
• Reason for the absence

Please also include any supporting documentation, such as:
• Doctor's excuse
• Court documentation
• Other applicable documentation verifying the absence

To avoid delays in processing, please submit all absence documentation as soon as possible and in accordance with school attendance policy.
